In the quiet places - November
17th Nov. Golden Autumn bunting For one reason or another I hadn't been down the lane for a couple of weeks. I missed it and it was good to be able to dwell in its restorative tranquility once again. There's been quite a change while I've been away. Autumn is still very much resplendent in yellow and gold but more on the ground now. Today it was these sweet chestnut coppice shoots that made me smile. Most of their leaves had fallen to the ground but a few were still attached, particularly at the tops of the shoots, reminded me of bunting ... golden autumn bunting.
